Ian Thorsell has been a resident of the Boston area for almost 14 years.  He grew up in western NY in a village by a lake and began doodling when he was able to hold a pencil.  He moved here to try working in props at The Huntington Theatre.  It worked out pretty well.  Now after over a decade making anything and everything for numerous theater and opera groups in the area he decided to try making things for himself again.  He has worked with wood, steel, and fabric for over a decade.  For this collection Ian decided to simplify and works with acrylic and ink on board and canvas; with time and imagination as the other tools used to find the fantastical folks you'll see... look close, you don't want to miss anyone.
