Dually Branded Awe Shucks Signage
Shucked the Musical has made its way to our city, and we are beyond excited. Our partnership with Broadway in Boston and Shucked has been loads of fun... Especially our exclusive flavor for Shucked to celebrate, presenting: Awe Shucks!
This sweet corn ice cream with the most subtle touch of sea salt reflects on all the "corniness" of the Tony-award winning musical comedy, Shucked. Shucked is part of the 2025 Lexus Broadway in Boston series and will be at the Citizens Opera House in Boston from April 8 - 20,2025. We hosted a social media contest for two lucky winners (along with a buddy) to watch Shucked, our comment sections were filled with the best corn puns from our raffle participators. Our Tiktoks have been full of corny fun. J.P. Licks says "Thank you!" to Broadway in Boston for making this partnership possible.
For more information on Shucked, visit https://boston.broadway.com/shows/shucked/.
Awe Shucks! is currently available in select J.P. Licks locations now through April 20th.

Partnering with ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2025
Wednesday, February 26, 2025

We are beyond thrilled to announce our collaboration with the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2025. In celebration of the championships making their way to our city along with the best of the best world figure skaters... we have dropped a new, exclusive flavor: The World's Swirl !
The 2025 ISU Championships with count as the 14th US hosting of the event. And the second visit to Boston by the championships from 2016 being the first. The 2016 championship housed almost 108,000 fans to attend in person. This event is nothing short of spectacular with more that 300 million viewers tuning in from all over the world to watch 200 of the best figure skaters from 50 different countries (isuworlds2025.com).
The World Figure Skating Championships started back in 1896 in St. Petersburg only for men. The first ISU championships for women started in 1906, and the World Championships for women in 1924 along with the first ISU Championships for pairs. However, the first ever ISU World Figure Skating Championship with all three events; men, women, and pairs, was held in New York City in 1930 (isu.org). The event has come a long way from its origins and we are nothing but honored to have the prestigious, annual championship at our city after almost a decade.
To honor and celebrate the event and all the athletes in the figure skating community, our newest flavor is a blue cake batter ice cream with delectable marshmallow swirl, featuring, The World's Swirl ! Available at all 17 stores.
Make sure to catch the 2025 ISU Figure Skating Championships at TD Garden on March 25th to the 30th.

The Grinch @ J.P. Licks in Assembly Row
Saturday, December 7, 2024

Although he's got "all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile", looks like Mr.Grinch has got a sweet tooth. On Saturday December 7th, The Grinch popped into our J.P. Licks location at Assembly Row! In celebration of the Boch Center's showcase of "Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical", J.P. Licks celebrated with our Grinch's Candy Cane Ice Cream. We also provide the Grinch's Candy Cane sundae as a naughty alternative to our Santa's Candy Cane sundae.
The meet and greet with the Grinch included fun conversations and pictures with the mean one. And of course some giveaways with tons of fun J.P. Licks merch. We gave away our swag bags in our handy dandy freezer bags, in the bag was a large classic J.P. Licks Stainless Steel growler, our t-shirt, a Clementine Key Chain, our Anniversary Blend Coffee beans, and of course 2 pints of our Grinch's Candy Cane Ice Cream (all of our merch is available to purchase on our site).
Mr. Grinch had his fair share of wreaking havoc (in a fun, demure manner of course...) at our store and indulged in his candy cane ice cream on a peppermint dipped cone ( truly hoping the termites in his smile loved our ice cream & cone as well) !
We love the Grinch & we know you do to, so be sure to catch the Boch Center's "Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical" at the Boch Center Wang Theater running from December 10th to December 23rd.

Working with the Ellie Fund

Help us support the Ellie Fund!
Several years ago, a member of our team was diagnosed with breast cancer and leaned heavily on the Ellie Fund for resources as she went through treatment. We remain grateful for her continued presence here at J.P. Licks and decided it was time to partner with the Ellie Fund as a small business. We met with members of their team last spring, looking for unique ways to help rais money and awareness for the organization, something that reflected the energy of J.P. Licks. After several conversations, we designed our first sticker available for purchase - an udder shape promoting the Ellie Fund and their work in our bright pink hue. You can already see the udder on our website - and on cows around our stores - but the double meaning of the image also appealed to us. We ordered a limited run and hope that you'll come into one of our 17 locations to purchase one. All proceeds will be donated to the Ellie Fund to support their work.
If you are being treated for breast cancer and live in Massachusetts, you are eligible to apply for assistance from the Ellie Fund. The provide financial and emotional support so you can concentrate on healing. Visit their website to apply or to support them directly. www.elliefund.org
