I am an artist who grew up with craftsmen, farmers, and artisans in the mountains of Appalachia Pennsylvania. As a kid and adult I have always enjoyed being with nature and animals. Growing up with parents who were craftsmen and farmers who worked with the land taught me to value and appreciate all parts of nature and try to incorporate the sanctification of nature into my work. I loved growing up learning about all the different animals of the forest and how to work with wood from my father. My mother loved working with farm animals, plants and painting and has helped me learn so much about them. I went to school to study art history, studio art and art education. I moved to Brookline after college in the Fall of 2015 to pursue my teaching career. I love working with people and helping them gain new unique experiences with materials. I currently work with young children teaching them about art and design and how we can use unique materials and creatively express ourselves with them. I also love working with adults. I work in a local pottery shop teaching ceramics and painting. My dream is to be able to build and rediscover the world through meaningful community art making and use my art making to inspire a lightheartedness within all who experience it.
