Mt. Pleasant Home at Coolidge Corner

From June through September, 2022, we have a very special art exhibit up on in our Coolidge Corner location. Residents of the Mt. Pleasant Home, a nonprofit residential care community in JP created all of the art work you see as part of the Opening Minds through Art (OMA) program, facilitated by Goddard House Community Innitiatives. OMA is an award-winning, evidence based, intergenerational, abstract art-making program for older adults and those living with dementia. Both Jamaal Eversley and Fernando Fula have displayed their artwork in our stores - Jamaal in Mission Hill and Boylston Street and Fernando in our Southie store. Now, their work will be seen in DC too! They created a portrait for former Boston mayor Marty Walsh to bring with him as he moves to become the Labor Secretary for President Biden.
